Achievements and successes at work

Since a few years I keep notes on a regular monthly base to remind me of achievements and successes. This in turn can helps in salary discussions and personal reflections.

 

Its human to forget, what one did a couple of month ago.
(It might be debatable, if these counts as achievements or successes, but that might be just my imposter syndrome speaking)

 

Achievements and successes 2024

Organisational Quality
Expertise: Managed the testing of a Fleet Operation, covering end-to-end use cases, automation, data visualization and stakeholder coordination across multiple brands
Expertise: Onboarded and coached colleagues in projects, providing support with access and permission control
Expertise: Provided onboarding and technical support to client end-users for seamless system setups
Expertise: Supported client pitches with test effort estimations and clarifications
Expertise: Delivered dedicated support for accessibility-related pitches
Expertise: Conducted “Ask Me Anything” (AMA) sessions on accessibility

New Concept: Established cross-company guidelines and competence working groups for digital accessibility

Brand Awareness (Internal & External)
Competence Center: Moderated a session on accessibility at the QS-Barcamp
Competence Center: Organized and executed a local community event in Stuttgart

New Concept: Organized, selected, and moderated an expert panel for digital accessibility at TACON
New Concept: Coached and mentored a colleague to become an international conference speaker and digital accessibility expert
New Concept: Concepted, organized and executed the Testsociety conference with 200 paying attendees and international speakers

Organizational Quality
Expertise: Supported a big internal tool merger (towards Workday) with test management and operational support of colleagues
Expertise: Preparing and guiding the company approval and compliance process for accessibility tools and usage
Expertise: Extending the company’s compliance process for accessibility checks in quality gates

Cost saving: Conducted a risk evaluation for upper management for a big eCommerce solution (10+ teams, multi-national) for accessibility

Brand Awareness (Internal & External)
Competence Center: Coached and mentored a colleague to grow into an experienced blogger in the field of digital accessibility
Competence Center: Conducted a “Salesforce Upskill” initiative (selecting training paths, advising, and consulting with management and colleagues)
Competence Center: Co-created and peer reviewed of internal hands-on workshops for accessibility
Competence Center: Evaluation of different accessibility tools, plugins

New concept: Concepted, planned and executed events in Stuttgart

Speaker: Gave a talk at the Nordic Testing Days (Quality Radar – A Visual Team Tool)

Expertise: Establishing, supporting, and coaching an operational test manager for an internal 150+ people white-label project

Competence Center: Achieved first commitments from directors to build up seven people as potential speakers
Competence Center: Increased public presence (ca. 18 colleagues attending conferences in Europe)

Diversity: Suggested name giving for room location for Hamburg Office with “Women in Tech” names
Diversity: Inspired colleagues, who suggested a new naming convention for releases, based on women in tech

New concept: Created and established the “CCCN – Combined Competence Center Newsletter” for all Competence Centers
